Concierge Chronicles Pop-Up: Sacrifice

Hey Royals! I hope you are had a restful, fun weekend. As I was sitting waiting for my client, I thought about where I was and what I was doing. I was in a town called Schnecksville, PA (never heard of such a place); alone, hundreds of miles from home and my loved ones. I began to think about why I was there and was what I was doing worth it. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do, but at times it does get a bit lonely. I am meeting new people and going to places I've never been before, but I miss eating dinner with my children, or watching a movie or just getting a random hug from one of them. I have to remained focused on the reason I'm here. Sometimes I just want to say forget this; I'm going home! I was feeling that way today and wondering if I made the right decision.
At that moment I remembered my WHY; the reason I do what I do. Is my why worth me being in the cold, alone, all those miles away from home? Yes it is!
Yes, I would love to be home where it is warm and I can talk to and laugh with my daughters. Home playing with my puppy or just relaxing on the couch watching a movie. All of those things would be wonderful, but would any of them get me to my goals? The answer is no.
That made me think of sacrifice. In life we make sacrifices for the things we want; no matter how difficult the sacrifice is, if you want it bad enough, you will make it. I thought I could say it better than write it:
Well, I hope that you stay determined and look at the sacrifices you may have to make on your path to success, happiness or whatever your goal is, as mere stepping stones on the path. As I stated in the video, this year is going to amazing, so let's go get it!
