The Queens

This is the first novel in the Queens of Richland series. This is a story of four friends, Jai'yana, Ariel, Marissa and Lexi as they take on all of the many ups an downs of life. Friends that stick together through good times and bad. They support one another through failed relationships, crisis, happiness and sadness...true sisterhood.

Queens Bleed Too: The Series
These books are my cleansing. Yes, I am a queen in my own right. I have made some decisions that make me cringe when I think of them. I have been in relationships that have drained me physically, mentally, financially and especially emotionally. But because of the Most High's grace and mercy I was able to come out of all of it, but still carried the baggage of resentment, anger and pain. Because of the Creator's patience with me and the strength given me, I am able to cleanse myself of all of that and allow myself to regenerate my soul and spirit through tears and bleeding...only on paper.
Peace and blessings!
I'm so happy for you. Quite a huge accomplishment. Just finished "HOPE". WOW! Stopped me; just like that. YES!!! "HOPE" is a powerful thing!
Michelle Brittain-Stewardson - The Silent Scream
Very rewarding. I recommend reading to everyone seeking encouragement. It express experience that you can grab hold of when reading this book.
Michael Lindsey - The Silent Scream
Queens Bleed Too, was a powerful, thought provoking read. The poems seemed to jump right off the page with emotion.
The writer expressed that her poetry had no order, no rhyme or reason. Just pure emotion felt while writing, well you could definitely feel her emotions while reading. The poems made you want to cry, scream, scratch your head, and reflect upon your own life. There were some stand out poems; “Games”, “Thanks”, “Love Exposed”, “Sincerely the Three Hearts” just to name a few. But there were so many more like “Know Thyself” that made you question everything, and also ask why, what if.
The book club gives this read, four stars. The writing was powerful and strong. If there were errors in the book, they did not take away from the flow of the book or the poetry read.
When you pick up this book, be prepared for an emotional journey. Keep an open mind, embrace the wonder and strength it took for someone to open herself up in this manner.
Kim Walton, Author, Educator and Founder of
Southside Book and Writers Club - Queens Bleed Too: No Rhyme or Reason
I saw me in the pages and so many emotions came back. I appreciate the authenticity and raw emotions presented. The author grabbed the audience and took them along for the ride. This book made me reflect and have pure gratitude for my own life's journey.
Self-Reflection; Black and White - Queens Bleed Too: No Rhyme or Reason

The poem is deep, dope, dark, driven, yet empowering with just enough light and the end of the tunnel to believe in a outcome that grows and strengthens one’s spirit. I dig!

MY BOOKS

ROBBED
Day one of the appropriated month given for recognition of the most powerful nation,
Not even the length of standard for every other month on the calendar.
Robbed...
A culture so vast no one book can contain it,
Talks with the ancestors the only way to maintain it.
Our story replaced with his story in a book written by someone that doesn't even resemble me,
To cover the fact that we are truly not free.
Robbed again...
Ask a brother about his legacy and cringe from his lack of real facts,
Call a sister a queen and you might get laughed at.
Royalty demeaned and beaten from our memory,
Brains washed white as snow in hopes we never truly know who or what we are.
Robbed yet again...
Singing the song that we shall overcome,
From what? To what?
A chance to fit in and be accepted?
Accepted into a stolen society that you should recognize as your own?
But that you have been programmed to believe didn't come from your home.
Robbed yet again...
What is to come of our youth?
Raised in a society of untruth.
Murdered for less than the price of a beer,
Clocked and harassed more than their lighter peers.
Life...robbed
Justice wears a see through blindfold,
No justice, it's just us against a system set for our demise,
Be wise and come together our only survival,
Come out the church and have a true salvation revival.
Revive our culture, revive our history,
And revive the love we've lost for one another,
For our families, friends, sisters and brothers.
Take it back...
Don't belittle our rich heritage to twenty-eight or twenty-nine days on their calendar,
Breathe life into your story every day and watch self-hate dwindle away.
Restored!
