"The Healing Wordsmith"

The Silent Scream: Poetic Regeneration is my very first published book. I never dreamed of being a published author in any capacity, but when I picked up my pen one day and wrote what my heart was speaking, it came like a wave.
I shared that poem with a friend and they said that I should write a book. Their words hit me like a lightning bolt because I could literally hear my father saying the exact words to me as he had so many times before when I was a child.
After thinking about it and praying on it, I decided, why not.
This book is filled with excerpts of my heart. The love and pain, happiness and sadness that I have tried to talk to others about, but felt ignored or that my words weren't being heard and that is the reason for the title.

I hope that there is just one poem in this book that you can connect to. My purpose for writing is to heal and to hopefully help someone else in what they are going through with my words. Ase'

Unsung
She has a strength unparalleled; a superhero to most.
She creates miracles from nothing with grace and style.
Her heart is massive even with the invisible bruises.
A day in her life is like a best-selling novel.
Reverenced by those closest to her even through the difficult times.
A smile to mask the fatigue and pain brought on by long nights of prayer and tears.
Self-neglect unnoticed because her family comes first.
Long nights alone with not enough rest planning her next move.
She does what she must and dreams of her desires.
A doctor, therapist, chef, chauffeur, accountant, teacher and concierge with no degree and the recompense to prove it. Her happiness is wrapped in the growth of her offspring.
No audible complaints; her heart screams to the Lord.
Dependent on no one except the image in the mirror; not pride, but independence. Give her a round of applause!
A standing ovation that may never come, but not missed.
Keep doing what your doing; your reward will come.
Hang in there, I appreciate all you do...why?
Because I am you! .
